Online Learning & LMS Readiness Check

Before arriving at DLIELC, please ensure your personal computer meets the mandatory technical requirements for Blackboard, our Learning Management System (LMS).

Approved DevicesLaptops are required. Smartphones and tablets are not acceptable for classroom coursework. Note: If you arrive with only a mobile phone or tablet or without a compliant laptop, you will be issued a DLIELC laptop for your training.
Web BrowsersUse the latest version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. (Note: Apple Safari and Internet Explorer are not supported and will cause errors).
Browser CheckAction: Run the Blackboard Browser Checker. Ensure all checks pass, and that cookies and pop-ups are enabled.
Required SoftwareYou must have productivity software capable of creating documents and presentations. Supported programs include Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, LibreOffice Writer, Impress, or equivalent.
Accepted File TypesAssignments must be submitted as: .docx, .odt, .pptx, .odp, or .pdf
Hardware Wi-Fi capability, webcam, and a compatible headset/microphone for language exercises.
